OS Shared Object Based Middleware

Shared object-based middleware is the third paradigm after the document-based middleware and the file system-based middleware that we have learned in earlier tutorial.

In shared object-based middleware, instead of saying that everything is a document/file, we can say that everything is an object.

An object is basically a collection of variables that are bundled together with a set of access procedures.

These procedures are also called as methods.

Processes are not permitted here to access the variables directly. They are require to invoke the methods instead.
